Since 2004 assignment as a research assistant in the project on "Mobile life-strategies in dependence on ecological resources in the North-Western coastal zone of Egypt from antiquity to islamic times" within SFB 586 "Differenz und Integration" at the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg • 2003–2004 assignment as soil engineer at the Institut für Umwelt-Analyse (IFUA) Projekt GmbH in Bielefeld, charged mainly with generating digital maps of soil contamination • 1998–2003 studied soil science at University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrück, Germany.
