Since 2004 employed as research associate at George August University in Göttingen in an associated project from SFB 586 "Difference and Integration" which is financed by the DFG (the German Community for Research). Research theme: "Nukhba-yi Sayfiya: an Ethnographic Representation of the Yumut Turkmen in the Early 20th Century) • 2003–2004 employed as research assistant by the Teilprojekt B3 "Nomadism and the State: The Qâjâr Dynasty in 19th Century Iran" from SFB 586 at the university of Halle • 1998 master's thesis: "The Winter Guardian-Dances of the Salish Indians in the Central Coast Region of Canada" •Studies: anthropology and Iranian studies at George August University in Göttingen.
